I’ll be back…

¡HOLA!

I was so excited to post my first VLOG a few weeks ago. If you haven’t seen it then check it out here…

I have so many ideas and ways I want to reach out to all of you. Plans for new materials, revamping old materials and lots of information on tutorials. I am also super excited to expand my YouTube channel.

But I need to be real with you all …

As much as I would love to tell you that ALL of it is coming up in a few weeks… I can’t. I have tried and tried to make everything happen but this year has thrown me for a loop.

I have come to realize that there are phases of my life where I can do so many things. Then there are phases of my life where I have to be ok with not doing everything I want.

This is one of those seasons in my life. It has felt like torture to have so many things that I want to publish on this blog, TPT, and YouTube. But I have watched my family go through so much illness and death in the past two years. It has taken its toll on me and my family.

So I want to say…

I will be back.

I started a blog and making materials because I want to help and encourage those who are starting the journey I did 14 years ago, to teach elementary and middle school with Comprehensible Input.

But I am taking a break.

I am going to stop worrying about posting new content until May. And in May, I will let you know if I am ready.

I am so sorry to those waiting on materials like Unit 5 of ¡No me digas! I made promises that the materials would be out by now, but I was wrong. I made a miscalculation.

I hope to see you all in May. In the meantime, take care of yourselves, hug your loved ones and remember that while we strive to be the best teachers, sometimes being the best is just showing students how much you care and believe in them.

We have one of the hardest but the most rewarding jobs in the world.

Love to all,

Mrs. Spanish

  1. I LOVE your units and posts! You have no idea how much easier you have made my life. I am a better teacher because I can focus on teaching instead of creating new material. Best wishes to you and your family. I appreciate the update as I check your site almost daily. Take care and best wishes : )
